Hi to all. I finally decided, after few years looking for a new call sign, to change my original call (WP4DQK) to this new one NP4KT. I believe that it sound very solid on CW and more easy to catch. The 2 x 2 is the shorter possible combination I can afford. I hope to keep making QSOs with my QRP station configuration and keep having fun with this low Sun Spots level season. I really love the low power operating mode.
The world of assembling and operate the low power radios with different wire to verticals antennas really take me, but I am operating more from the mobile station using a Yaesu FT-857d with a little more power (85w) and the MP-1 antenna with mobile kit. I am usually on air during morning and evening Home-Office trip. This is near 12 UTC at morning and 22 UTC at evening here. The band prefer is 30m band, but all depends. Sometimes higher band are also possible. Since this January I am a new member of the SKCC group with number 7567. Operating CW the old mode is also very enjoyable if you are not in a rush. I am probably getting old. ;) Just 42!
I am in the process of a new web page at sites.google.com/site/np4ktmr, in english/spanish language and my original blog wp4dqk.blogspot.com, in spanish language, where I have few things about the Ham Radio hobby. The blog is more updated than the web page, but is is in Spanish language as I mention before.
We will keep in touch there and in the bands.
