Thanks Dr Kitch san..Nice signal in JA..Best 73's : )
I am a U.S. citizen living in the Philippines and like it very much. The people are naturally happy and friendly and the Hams are exceptionally friendly. I received this call Oct 17, 2014.
I operated as DU1/WD6V using a temp permit but wanted a real DU call. PARA (Philippine Amateur Radio Association) officers and members were very helpful and assisted me in every step toward getting my call. If you are a foreign Ham thinking about it, contact PARA, they have a great web site.
My U.S. call is WD6V and I have operated in Fallujah, Iraq as YI9WV (U.S. Marines) and Abu Dhabi, UAE as A65OO (oscar, oscar). I enjoy mobile and portable CW, often camping in the mountains of the U.S. and I intend to do the same here in the beautiful Philippines.
I do not have a QSL manager and will post here in the near future as to the best QSL method.
Thanks for checking my call and hope to see you down the line on some band, some mode and yes, it is more fun in the Philippines.
