Reading & District Amateur Radio Club, RADARC,? M0AAA and MX0AAA, was founded in 1934 by Gerry Marcuse, G2NM and apart from a small gap during WW2 when many members were in the Armed Forces, the Club has been very active since then. The Club has around 100 members and meets at the Woodley Pavilion, Haddon Drive, Woodly, Reading, RG5 4LY. We run or sponsor training courses for the Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Amateur Radio Examinations.
M0AAA was the very first UK "M" prefix callsign issued. March 1994. The Club has other callsigns, G3ULT, G3AKF, and a contest call M4T. G4JTR is the QSL Manager for M0AAA, G3ULT, and G3AKF. Although we can used the Buro. for printed cards, please feel free to print one off if you need a card for a contact. Our QSL card is the primary image. We do not QSL direct. We prefer eQSL which we have just signed up for and have discovered a huge number to confirm dating from 1996 onwards, hopefully we will do this over the next few months.
During 2014, the 80th Year of RADARC, the Club will be hosting a number of MX0AAA QSO party operations.
RADARC won the RSGB national "Radio Club of the Year" award for the UK in 2010 and we have just won again in 2013 which is a unique acheivement.
The Current Chairman is Vin Robinson, G4JTR. For more information, look at our very comprehensive web site, www.radarc.org
