My home call is CT3MD butI´ve been living in Horta-Faial between August 2010 to April 2013, withcall sign CU7MD. CU is another DXCC entity. CU is Azores and CT3 is Madeira Island.

The Faial Island is one of the 9 islands that compose the volcanic Azores Archipelago and is located at the western end of the Central Azores Group.

The island has the approach form of an irregular pentagon, with 21 km of length in the direction East-West and 14 km a maximum width, the one that corresponds a 172 km ² of area.

The resident population is of 15 000 inhabitants, the majority of which in Horta, capital city of Faial Island.

The climate is tempered oceanic, with annual average temperatures of air that oscillate between 13°C in the Winter and 22°C in the Summer, with frequent gales and a relative moistness of air on average above of 80%.

The island is served by the Airport of the Horta, with regular aerial linkings for the remaining islands and the exterior of the archipelago.

The port of the Horta is an important in the maritime of scale of yachts in the passages between American continent and Europe.

The island local is known by Blue Island, assignment that was popularized from the description of Raul Brandão in unknown islands.

I need only one contact per band / mode. Please do not insist to make several contacts in the same band and mode. Some operators have come so far as to make three contacts on the same day on the same band. This repeat is about 10% of my QSO´s. Tanks.
