Always interested in radio; dissassembled Grand mother's radio at the tender age of 10. Went to trade tech in Electronics. Did alot of listening! Got my novice in 73, upgraded to Advanced. Worked at the League for about 2 yrs in TIS. moved to FL gave up my old callsign(WB1AND) and received new call (KM4DB). Had good luck with call signs! This is not a vanity call! Work 99% CW and rarely on 10M SSB and FM In Restrictive HUD housing using sleath inv L in woods Not the best with long run of coax. Will convert to remote tuning if I hit the Lottery. Upgraded to Extra in April 2010 and yes I can work 20 wpm, no problem; the "old way"! I support all CW clubs, and find it depressing to have so few slow speed hams.We all started somewhere!I monitor 7.112 nitely
