UPDATE 2/02/13: Our team was hosted to a get-together with the Barbados Amateur Radio Society. We had a meet & greet with 20 or more of the local hams, followed by a buffet. The BARS building and antenna site is impressive, and the fellowship was the best! We now have six antennas (40-12 meters) in operation.

UPDATE 2/01/13: Five antennas are now up. So far the line noise is manageable. We plan to set-up an antenna for 12 meters soon. The weather here is spectacular and our 8P6 ham friends stop by each day to see what they can do to help. We are getting good signal reports in spite of the QSB.

UPDATE 1/29/13: Two antennas are up and I managed to make few 30-meter QSO's . We have extremely bad line noise, probably from the power lines running just to the West of the Villa . We'll have to see if it's going to be a continual problem.

UPDATE 1/29/13: We were met at the airport by at least ten local 8P6 hams - they helped ferry our equipment to the Villa . Our host Catherine King couldn't have been nicer or more helpful as we occupied our quarters.
