PC recording
Licensed in 1975 and operating on a selection of bands and modes.
The home QTH is in a residential area with lots of noise from Switched Mode Power Supplies, PLT and Plasma TVs. That's all part of the challenge. I tend to use a 400 Hz filter on CW so it helps if you net accurately.
Namibia DXpedition 2012:
I was in Namibia from 18 to 26 March 2012 primarily to operate in the CQ WW SSB WPX contest with GI8MIV, GI4FUM, DM3BJ and V51B using the call V55B.
My V5/GI4DOH log has been uploaded to LoTW and Club Log. Paper QSL cards have been mailed to all direct QSLs. All other calls have been sent a QSL card via the bureau
Special Calls:
- GR4DOH - Celebrating Royal Wedding 29 April 2011 to 9 May 2011
- GQ4DOH - Celebrating Queen's Diamond Jubilee 5 May 2012 to 10 June 2012
- GO4DOH - Celebrating Olympic Games and Paralympic Games 21 July 2012 to 9 September 2012
Other Calls:
- G4DOH - while resident in England between 1983 to 2004
- EI7DS - call for Ireland up to 1981
- EI7KF - current call for Ireland
