Born in 1946 in Sluiskil, Zeeuws Vlaanderen in the southern part of The Netherlands near the Belgian border.After high school, joined the Royal Dutch Navy and became a Wireless Operator on board Navy Ships as well as on Long Range Maritime Patrol Aircraft. Also qualified EW/Radar/Acoustics Operator. Married in 1968 to Elly and we got 2 children, a girl and boy. We are very glad to have 5 grandchildren at the moment. Retired Naval Officer on 1 jan.1999. Got my Ham license in 1968, love CW and building antennas.
I'm also a Morse Key Collector with over 120 different keys.
My 6 band home brewed Hexbeam, replaced in Oct. 2010 by the new 5 band Tennadyne LPDA.
