Licensed Sept 1970
Merchant Marine Radio Officer 1971 - 78
Radio Officer at Portishead Radio / GKA 1978 - 1988
1988 - 1998 worked in radio communications research.
Main operating interest HF CW, rag chewing, DXing, Contests, QRP. I welcome QSOs with new or improving CW ops and will always QRS to the level you require. I may be QRV with hand key, bug key, sideswiper, electronic key or keyboard. I like to keep the traditions of mechanical keys on the air as often as possible. I find a good ragchew much more rewarding than a new country in the log.
Recently moved (June 2013) to a very small village in Mid Devon Loc IO80EV WAB SS81
Rig IC-746 at 80W but do use QRP at times, antenna is a coax fed windom at about 30 feet. (Jan 2014)
FOC member 1774 since April 2002 FISTS nr 7727 SKCC nr 3492 AGCW nr 3506
