Madna or Talemzane is an Impact Crater in Algeria 80 km south-est of Laghouat Explored for the first time in 1928, studied in 1950 and 1988 by reshars from university of Oran (Algeria) and Nice (France). It is 1.75km in diameter and the age is estimated to be less than three Millionyears -and is probably Pliocene.

The Hassi R'Mel integrated solar combined cycle power station is a hybridpower station that is to be built near Hassi R'Mel in Algeria,
thought to be the first of its kind. The plant will combine a 25MW-parabolic troughconcentrating solar power-array,covering an area of over 180,000m2,
in conjunction with a 130MW combined cycle gas turbineplant, so cuttingcarbon emissionCO2 .
compared to a traditional power station. The output from the solar array will be used in the steam turbine.
