NEWS
December 2013, main operator of 3A60ARM : I made 2,501 CW QSO, 40 SSB, 11 Digimode, 75 DXCC, 36 US States.
)
(21th january 2014) All QSL received via direct / bureau or requested by email are answered. My QSL desk is clear.
Use NEW IRC ending 31 december 2017.
STATISTICS : my last 30,000 QSO on 31th december 2013, by modes/bands.
(Aug 2012) If you need my QSL via Bureau send an email and don't send your QSL. My QSL will be printed and posted through the 3A QSL Bureau.
Nochange for DIRECT QSL (see below)
My call pirated on SSB (I am a CW op, and sometimes on digimodes : QSO 9U4U 5T0SP 3D2C NH8S A5A 1S0R 3B7C 3B9C 706T HK0NA HU2DX (on 160 m Phone !) PJ7E T32C ecc are not mine. Most of them worked only on CW.
Visit the 3A oficial radioamateur website (accurate 3A Callbook) at www.arm.asso.mc
My station (2008)
Usualy I work Simplex. To avoid confusion , a few hints to make our life easier and our hobby more fun and effortless (i.e. some DX rules according to DX Code of Conduct):
- Know what "QRX" means! Before asking "?" or" call ?" LISTEN, LISTEN. I send my call after each qso. If your PC cannot read my call, turn Off your PC, learn CW and use ears and hand.
- I can't heard you when i am transmitting. Wait the end of QSO before calling
- Avoid dupes (i.e. same hour/QRG/mode ), i repeat your call and mine to confirm at the end of each QSO.So you can correct an error before logging QSO. I update the LOG on line almost every month, check your QSOs.
- If a specific country or continent is called, don't call if you are not there! For those who have trouble understanding it, DON'T CALL FROM EUROPE IF I CALL JA or NA or USA or ASIA ecc.
- MORE DISCIPLINE = MORE STATIONS WORKED
- In fine, you like DX, me too. So let me enjoy DXing.
ABOUT QSL. some topics
Even if i am not yet LoTW user, i am proud to be 100% QSL. I can send via buureau QSL on request by Mail (not necessary to send your QSL). I confirm eQSL however not user.
100% QSL DIRECT (prefered for fast delivery) or 100% QSL via Bureau. Be carefull before sending QSL via Bureau : QSL bureau need loooooooong time (3 years at least to . eternity ! For direct QSL pse SAE + 1NEW IRC 2017 model PREFEREDor equivalent $ or € euro. NO 3A STAMPS (postal rate are often modified) Sorry, now the rate change US$ to € euro increased to -40% (so IRC prefered). I don't collect green stamps nor IRCs, HI. Pay only the return of your card, no more ! If not, return via bureau. For multiple QSL request, add fee postage. Japanese prepaid enveloppes are not accepted by our national Postal service.
Radioactive 1.8 to 50 MHz. Soon on 4 meters. Mainly CW op (see statistics above). When propagation is low, active on digimodes (PSK / RTTY, ROS, JT65 e.g.)
Bands allowed for radioamateur use in Monaco : 135,7 – 137,8 Khz (1 W e.i.r.p.), 472 - 479 KHz (1 W e.i.r.p.),1.810 - 2.0 Mhz, 3.5 - 3.8, 7.0-7.2, 10.100 - 10.150, 14.0-14.350, 18.068-18.168, 21.0-21.450, 24.890-24.990, 28.0-29.7, 50-52, 70.0-70.5 Mhz, ecc.
Monaco is only 2km² city, a very small country. The WORST place for DX'ing ! We have a lot of urban QRN specialy in the evening with domestic apparatus (TV Plasma, PLC, motors engine, ecc, ecc), and by commercial communication equipment (Broadcast TX, digipeaters, U.SHF , radiocoms abord ships, ec, ecc.). Having big antennas is now just a dream I left my 12 m up tower and 3 el beam for a vertical ant. Sufficient for DX CW.
My station (december 2009)
