Been a ham since early 1993, Love the hobby it's no wonder they call it the greatest of all. I love to chase dx and although a do most modes by far the digi-modes are my favorites especially psk-63. I live in Labrador West CQ ZONE 2 and over the years I've helped many hams achieve WAZ. Sorry to disappoint folks but after much thought I have decided not to respond to any more qsl's via the buro, (I will however qsl via direct with 1 IRC or 2 green stamps (not 1 USD) for international & US postage) and E-QSL only. The Canadian postal services do not honor foreign stamps.

I worked for 30 yrs as a tradesman here for a large mining company, retired in 2003 and went to work as an instructor for a local college in 2004, a great place to work and I get all summer to ride my motorcycles and play radio mostly from VO1'Land as VO1NAZ.

AFN-Japan, formerly the Far East Network (FEN), has one full-power VHF terrestrial TV outlet. Located on Okinawa atop the Rycom Plaza Housing area in the central part of the island, AFN-Okinawa's (U.S. channel 8) TV signal serves Marines, Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers, and their families stationed on-island. AFN-Japan also operates three low-power UHF terrestrial transmitters at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Commander U.S Fleet Activities Sasebo, and Misawa Air Base. 2012-2013 :

Alex, RD1AV is a member of the summer team at Vostok base and will be active again

in his spare time as RI1ANC from December 2012 to 7 February 2013.

2011-2012 :

Alex Turkeev, RD1AV (ex.RV1ZC, UA1ZCK) - chief of the base and radio operator in 2011.

RI1ANC Online log- updated several times in a month, after receiving information from Vostok base. LoTW update similarly.

RN1ON info: At present time from Alex - RI1ANC received,at last, the log till February, 4th 2012 inclusive.

Je suis né en 1945. Avant de devenir radioamateur J'ai été plusieurs années SWL . En 1977 sous indicatifFE 9005 en Guadeloupe à TROIS RIVIERES( 1977 à 1980). Puis SWL indicativé NCL 014 en Nouvelle Calédonie , en 1981 enfin radioamateur sous l'indicatif FK1 SI à Yaté dans le sud de la NC jusqu'à mon retour en métropole. En 1984 l'administration m'attribue l'indicatif actuel F1HWJ.

Je suis à la retraite depuis 1998 à VANNES dans le Morbihan . J'ai effectué une carrière militaire de 33 ans dont deux années dans les troupes de Marine et 31 ans dans la Gendarmerie Nationale comme sous-officier. Au cours de ma carrière j'ai effectué plusieurs séjours outre-mer en Nouvelle Calédonie, Djibouti, Guadeloupe.
