About Me:SP/GI4DOH

I was licensed in 1975 and I operate on many bands and modes but mainly on CW at the moment.
The photo shows me operating as SP/GI4DOH in Krakow, Poland, in October 2013. The equipment is my Elecraft KX3 with a Palm Radio Pico Paddle (needs a light touch) and a G4TPH Magnetic Loop antenna.

Noise:

K3 APF WidgetMy home QTH is in a residential area with lots of noise from Switched Mode Power Supplies, PLT and Plasma TVs. That's all part of the challenge. I tend to use a 350/400 Hz filter on CW so it helps if you net accurately.
Assuming you are within my passband, I have a widget using Spectrum Lab to set my RIT exactly so that I can use the Audio Peak Filter on my K3. Every bit helps. So if I get part of your call keep trying.
My Wellbrook Magnetic Loop also helps when used with the second Rx on the K3 for diversity reception on all bands.

Equipment:

Elecraft K3, KPA500 Amp, KAT500 ATU, WinKeyer, LP-PAN Panadaptor, Elecraft KX3

Namibia DXpedition 2012:
