*** IMPORTANT ***
The UK post office is phasing out IRCs and they are refusing to accept them for the purchase of postage stamps. As a result I can no longer accept IRCs with direct qsl requests. From now on only dollar bills or UK stamps please!
PLEASE NO IRCs - they are worthless to me
Licensed since 1986 though I was a very keen swl during the '60s while at school. Interests mainly HF CW and CW contesting. Have an early Elecraft K3 (# 145) and an Acom 1000 amplifier. Antennas are wire only, principally a 102 long open wire fed doublet and a G3TPW Cobwebb but do put up temporary antennas for specific contests in an adjacent field using various fibre glass poles. Log with Logger32 and N1MM for contesting and use a Microham CW Keyer which keeps the computer sent cw smooth while contesting (unlike, at times, my hand sent cw.!). An LP-Pan with NaP3 software gives me an extremely effective panadapter; I also run local Skimmer off it too and LP-Bridge allows these applications to communicate with the K3 simultaneously.QSL information:- I no longer collect cards from the buro so please don't send me QSL cards via this route. I am happy to respond to direct or email (which will be sent to the buro) requests for cards and I will reply 100% via whichever route is requested. I do not require QSL cards unless I specifically request them and that includes contest contacts. If it's just confirmation for GW that you need I do submit my log regularly to LOTW. Thanks for your co-operation.
At the end of 2013 I was issued with the special contest call GW4J.
73 and see you on the bands,
Stewart Rolfe, GW0ETF
