I operate on all 3905 CCN WAS/DX Awards Nets, as well as I check into the OMISS (No. 6526), Triple H, Geratol and NATA, and good in those bureaus. If you are missing any of my cards please send me an email with contact information and I will send to you. I appreciate all contacts on these nets, please use the appropriate net bureaus.
I operate primarily HF mobile, including 20,40,75/80 and 160 and will check in SSB, CW and RTTY/PSK31. I enjoy operating HF mobile; I've been mobile in 26 different state capitals and 6 other states; as well as from Ontario, New Brunswick, Quebec, Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.
My mobile radio equipment includes operating with a Yaesu FT890, FT847 or FT100d through an Ameritron ALS500m amp 500 watts into the Texas Bug Catcher or Hustler Super Coils for mobile HF 20/40/80/160m SSB,CW, RTTY/PSK. Mobile Digital Interfaces are West Mountain Plug N Play or the Signalink USB.
My fixed station include Kenwood TS590s, Yaesu FT102 with FV102DM, FT847, FT890, LDG1000AT tuner with an Ameritron AL-811H and Ameritron ALS500R Amp. Fixed antennas are Cushcraft 10-40m Rotatable Dipole on a 55 foot tower, 80m Loop cut to 3.547 mHz, 80m Loop at 3.902 mHz,160m Loop at 1.814 MHz, Interfaces are West Mountain Rigblaster Pro, Rigblaster Advantage, Rigblaster Plug N Play, Nomic, Signalink USB, AEA PK232, Kamtronics, and Nue-PSK Digital Modem.
I'll operate on most any band; SSB, CW or Digital; a little QRP and Satellite work. I enjoy DXing and have 200 confirmed countries on 20m CW; as well as a JA at 250mw QRP. First licensed in 1989; upgraded to Extra from Novice within a few months; made my first QSO as an Extra and operated entirely CW for several years until discovering the Triple H and 3905CCN in 1992 on sideband. I am an ARRL and W5YI VE; and have taught Novice, Technician and General Class License classes. I am also a member of the Cumberland County ARES and the Cumberland County EMA RACES liaison and training officer; member of the Portland Amateur Wireless Association and involved with public service events and annual Field Day. Enjoy attending Hamfest; been out to Dayton at least 4 times; and to Orlando, Virginia Beach, Deerfield, N.H. and local club swaps. I am the Trustee for club station AK1SS (former KZ1I) Down East HF Mobile Club, and I often check into the nets along with K1EOC, W1KVI, KC1ME or other borrowed club calls.
