2013 New location
Thanks to the Navy Forces and the Chief of the Sicily Area lighthouse for giving me a temporary military authorization to work in one of two Military Area Base. Than many thank's too the ENEA the National Agency for the new technologies for helping me in giving me12kw electricity supply
After two years of abstinence due to problems caused by Big noise, i move my setup far away to something unknown thatgenerates Big noise across the HF spectrun. i hope now to say Bye Bye Noise Down Town.
Thank's also to I2ADN (Angelo) for having located the source of the noise in April and June with his equipment.
Capo Grecale lighthouse Aerial view with the delimited area wich will be defined at the beginning of October

Side towards the Nord West
the best place to run the CQWW (Capo Grecale) lighthouse opened from 270 degrees to 160 degrees crossing via Noth, about asl 70m. (230 feet)
My setup during the CQWW SSB on 40m (2009) Icom 756ProII, OM-POWER amplifier, David Clark Headset, ICE bandpass filter.
Contest software Writelog with latest upgrade.
my antenna setup on 40m. two simple verticals phasing array spaced 1/2 wavelength apart. Last year (2008) in the same Contest i used a 4 square with bad results (too close the system to work europe but very sharp overseas anyway), while this year (2009) i did my self, worked with a stack match by Array Solutions wich has been modified to work bidirectional Broadside and bidirectional Endifre (called BIP/BOP system, both in phase or both out of phase), with the opportunity to work with a single vertical too, getting a little high vertical angle respect the system in phase. IT WORKS GREAT, not too complicated as the 4 square and with the opportunity to listen in 2 directions at the same time. Thank's to WX0B Array Solutions (jay) and W8AV (Goose PJ2T team component) for some details about the right degrees phasing matching array system and a big support to IK2QEI (Stefano) for time spend for various simulations of the phasing vertical array.

i have had two storms during the week before the contest, but the bigest one during it, This is system after a big lightning storm, we stoped the contest for about 5 hours, i had to repair 2 verticals bend at the base.
