First licenced ZE1DX in 1970 in what was formerly Rhodesia.Trained in radiocommunication engineering.Moved to Perth Western Australia in 1981 as VK6ACY. Ran a successful radio networking and high site business. 30 year past-time of photo graphic safaris, and canoeing, the Zambezi River,Lake Cahora Bassa-Mocambique, and the Okavango Delta, Botswana, led to full time game ranching in the Waterberg area of South Africa upon returning home to Africa in 1999.
Ex military Unimogs are used for hard transport and construction works on the sites. 3.5 tonne  4x4. Best on the planet.
Also breeding Buffalo and other wildlife in neighbouring Mocambique, where the C91CCY station is being put together.
Previously keen on EME conducted first Africa/USA 144Mhz EME in May 1975 with WA6LET.

The new radio room is hexagonal, 520 square feet. Purpose built. Flat concrete insulated roof. Double brick walls, provides natural, constant 20 to 25C inside temperature. Conveniently located 500 meters from the main homestead situated on a  a 500Ha game farm.
Thatched roof homestead. Rustic and climate-suitable.
Excellent, low man made noise location. Powered by lengthy underground 3 phase armoured cable to minimise overhead powerline interference. Serious surge protection mains outlet panels.
Take off angle enhanced by a negative horizon,-20 to -30 degrees on most headings.

I got my license 1977 when i was 14 years old. Worked my first QSO on 80Mtr CW 2Watts home made transmitter.

Mostly I like to work CW on my favorite band 30m. For me it some special feeling with CW, like a drog, SSB? - yes that happend some time. I often use station with low TX power, but not QRP about 20-100 Watts. In the summertime I was QRV on my portable station, in a old fishing shed, on CW of course. In Loc: JO97BF. I'ts a very nice place few meters from sea and the best off all, no electricty that gives no QRM/QRN. I'm use battery and solar panels - that's give a fantastic feeling of independently.

I like both pile up and ragshew QSO:s, course from both sides.

I'm also member of ARRL, SSA, (Swedish Radio Amateurs), GRK (Gotland Radio club), SOCWA (Scandinavian Open CW Activity) and SCAG (Scandinavian CW Activity Group).

     On the occasion of the world exhibition TITANIC the occasional station OM2015TITANIC will be transmitting from exhibition Incheba Expo in Bratislava in days from 12.08 to 31.12.2015.  The transmitting will be realized by services CW, SSB and Digi. There are many of original artefacts, set of exhibits which were parts of liner equipment as parts of furniture, porcelain and personal items of passengers on the expo Titanic. Thanks to the precise reconstruction of cabins, machine room or dining room you can experience the atmosphere of luxuries and technical progress of that fascinating epoch. The Miro OM3CU added to the expo his handmade model of Titanic liner radio station.

     Pri príležitosti konania svetovej výstavy TITANIC vo výstavisku Incheba Expo v Bratislave bude vysielať stanica pod značkou OM2015TITANIC od 12.8. do 31.12.2015. Vysielanie bude prevádzkami CW, SSB a Digi. Na výstave Titanic je množstvo originálnych artefaktov, séria exponátov, ktoré boli súčasťou vybavenia lode, kusy nábytku, porcelán a osobné predmety cestujúcich. Vďaka dokonalej rekonštrukcii kajút, strojovne alebo jedálne vdýchnete atmosféru prepychu a technického pokroku tohto fascinujúceho obdobia. Výstavu doplnil aj Miro OM3CU o exponát vlastnoručne vyrobenej makety lodnej rádiostanice Titaniku.
