OH0 ACTIVE ON 160/80 METERS & WARC BANDS Callsign: OGØA Dates: January 3 through January 13, 2014Following the success of recent low-band operations by Z81X and OF9X, closely on the heels of Santa Claus and capitalizing on the current season of almost total darkness in Northern Europe, a sub-group of those two teams will be heading to Aland Islands to activate OGØA on low bands and WARC bands. The OHØX contest site will be used as the base camp with 160M slopers for the US and Japan and a 2-L 80M beam atop a 42-meter (140ft) rotating tower. Main activity will be on CW, but SSB/RTTY will also be used occasionally. Operators: Mari, OH2FPK (YL); Rami, OH2BCI; Martti, OH2BH; Pertti, OH2PM and Pekka, OH2TA. OGØA QSL via OH2BH This operation is dedicated to the Youth On The Air (YOTA) summer camp due to be organized in Finland from July 15 through July 22, 2014 with two young YLs - Mari, OH2FPK and Kati, OH2FKX - in charge. They will be hosting fifteen (15) young European teams from the same number of countries acquainting themselves with the many faces of Amateur Radio: presentations, competitions, visits to radio stations, workshops, ARDF etc. at the height of the Finnish summer season. The activity is sanctioned by IARU Region 1 and supported by the European Union. DX Code Of Conduct

1/ I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.
2/ I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.
3/ I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.
4/ I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.
5/ I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.
6/ I will always send my full call sign.
7/ I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.
8/ I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.
9/ I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign not like mine.
10/ I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.
11/ When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.
12/ I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.
13/ I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.

This is my 3 elements half wave vertical yagi, cut for the 20 meters , facing Asia

My Colombian home is located in a rural area,close to Juan de Acosta city, a small village of about 15000 peoples , located in the Northen Colombia, my antennas are on the top of the hill 3 miles south of the Atlantic Ocean , my house still under construccion yet, so far I have a G5RVcut for 40 meters abouth 204 feets or 62 meters feed with open line and also a 3 element half wave vertical yagui for 20 meter, and a very near future I will erect a 1/4 wave vertical for 80 meters and an inverted L for 160 meters . I do a lot of listening every morning just before my sunrise in the lower bands around 09.00 to 11.30 GMT. Iam a retired person and been a Ham radio operator since 1960, I love this unique and fantastic hobby . At the present time I getting qsls cards at my Florida ( usa ) home, but it takes few months before answer the mail, I prefer LoTw, Fast, secure and no money involved.
