noPlease Note: VP8LP does not respond to people who call using only their suffix.nocrying
Good operating tip would be to give your full callsign once, then listen 4-5 seconds to see if I have heard you or am replying to someone else before you make a second call.yes
noI consider stations who call - call - call repeatedly without pausing to listen to be QRMers angry
angryand will be ignored.angry

Please note I do not upload logs electronically.  The reason for this is because requests were coming in for uploads to too many different QSL systems, for example LOTW, EQSL, QRZ, Clublog and so on.  There is always a huge amount of email requests associated with log uploads and my hobby is amateur radio, not email, so I have decided I will not upload to any systems to avoid this increasing problem.
I have also recently had a number of Bureau cards returned undelivered, which is a waste of cards and effort, so unfortunately I have to say I will no longer respond to cards sent via the Bureau - direct cards with SAE only please.
I do apologise having come to this decision.
I am a supporter of the DX Code of Conduct:
I will listen, and listen, and then listen again before calling.
I will only call if I can copy the DX station properly.
I will not trust the DX cluster and will be sure of the DX station's call sign before calling.
I will not interfere with the DX station nor anyone calling and will never tune up on the DX frequency or in the QSX slot.
I will wait for the DX station to end a contact before I call.
I will always send my full call sign.
I will call and then listen for a reasonable interval. I will not call continuously.
I will not transmit when the DX operator calls another call sign, not mine.
I will not transmit when the DX operator queries a call sign not like mine.
I will not transmit when the DX station requests geographic areas other than mine.
When the DX operator calls me, I will not repeat my call sign unless I think he has copied it incorrectly.
I will be thankful if and when I do make a contact.
I will respect my fellow hams and conduct myself so as to earn their respect.

Member of ÖVSV and following Telegraphy (CW) Clubs. . .CTC 676 , AGCW 1122 , HSC 1027, VHSC 103 , SHSC 57 , EHSC 86 . . . for further info abt the membership rules , please join the WEB.
QRV since 1974 - mostly CW - at that time I`ve worked under the callsign from a good friend of mine , CW of course. . .
Got my Radio Licence 1977, in the magic age of seventeen. . .
QTH locator : JN68SK

ADR: Mario Marian Subota , Brauchsdorf 14, A-4775 Taufkirchen / Pram , AUSTRIA

Currently used Radios:
FLEX 5000A with 2nd Receiver - it seems that the time is over for Radios with scratching knobs !
ELECRAFT K3 with P3 Panadapter - fine Radio too ! ( the best performer for CW - of that there is no doubt !)
YAESU FT DX 9000 Contest with options except DMU - fills the workbench . . Hi. .
KENWOOD TS 590 ( very equal to the K3 , checked and measured in CW ! )
ICOM 775 DSP
SPE Expert 2K FA - my favorite AMPLIFIER, probably the best Solid State Amp - it´s more than amazing how good it works. . . ( after a simple modification ! )

OM3500 HF, ACOM 1000A , DRAKE L 7, Collins 30L1 and 30S1
Also ancient Radios from my collection - I let them glow from time to time !
Morse Key: Single Paddle from " Begali " Model - HST - and others , I´m coming back to the roots. . . back from twin paddle to single paddle. You know - one lever instead of two can reduce QSD up to 50 percent , that´s my opinion - check it out! ! !
Antennas: 320m Delta Loop - triangle shape , Dipole 86m etc. . .
all my Antennas supported by tall spruce , maple, linden and fir trees, even huge oaks !
I`m using Helium Balloons to bring the ropes over the trees. . .much easier than to use slingshot or bow and arrow. . .!
Reaching here antenna heights up to 36m or 120 ft, feeding all antennas with a homemade ladder line, abt 500 Ohms, going straight into a balanced ATU - works well on all Bands -up to 6m !

QTH here is on a Hill top , 450m asl (above sea level) a small Farm with an antenna playing field of 10 Hectare,15km SE from the German/Austrian borderline.

All my Antennas designed and calculated with an Antenna Software Program, its very helpful to know what they doing , even on higher frequencies. Also very important to know, how the radiation take off angle and the main and side lobes looks like !
I do highly recommand to invest a couple of hours to learn how to use an Antenna Modeling Software like EZNEC , MMANA , 4NEC2 etc. It truly will helps you to optimize your Antennas !
Without the help of an Antenna Simulation Software , I would walk around like a blind man. . .Hi.hi

WARNING: Designing Antennas with PC - Software can cause to a dangerously addiction , side effects include extreme happiness , increased brain cells activity and a lot of " aha " lines !

After all - see a good CW demonstration with a Vibroplex Bug , by G0VQW - shown in YOU TUBE , search under G0VQW or OE5MSM
It´s a matter of fact - CW is more than a medicine for the grey cells , it even will keeps you away from other Drugs - because CW itself is the ultimate healthiest Drug. . . .
And to be honest , I have never heard from REAL CW -MAN´s who was in trouble with Dr. Alzheimer. . . do not hesitate , come on and tantalize your brain. . Hi. . .Hi
Play that Music Instrument as much as possible ! !
This is a wonderfull and unique hobby we all share , and I look forward to seeing you on the Bands.smiley
I do apologize for my english mistakes , it´s not my native language - I´m trying to improve it every day a little bit more , our hobby and "rag chewing" really helps a lot ! cheeky
Be mercy and patience with your brothers alone the road , that God that made you made them too. . .

STAY TUNED !
