Ham radio operator since 1973. I began my activities on radio in a small town in Central Italy. I used vertical antenna 12 AVQ. Then I moved to Rome. Here I worked with vertical antennas 14 AVQ and DPGH5: about my antenna placed on the roof of the building where my apartment is located I faced some problems. I stopped the transmissions for 12 years, but now I'm back in the air with my callsign. Now I use dipoles placed on the balcony:
a) the dipole for 20 meters, which can work on 30 meters with an extension wire or with another extension wire on 40 meters. With this arrangement I can work in 17 meters.
b) the dipole for 15 meters
c) the dipole for 12 meters
The dipoles, with a single cable, are homemade.
I use little power: 25 watts maximum in all bands.
I was member of ARI. I am member of the HSC and I am honored that my call is still in the UFT ( I thank the leaders of "French Union Telegraphists").
