25/08: another new antenna optimized on 15m beaming to europe !




More than 6dBd beaming to Europe, feed with a twin lead and gives me the opportunity to work also 12 and 10 meters !

27/07: A new antenna beaming to Europe

I have now a wire antenna of 2x10m horizontal V beaming to the north and it seems to be better than the ground plane,
and I can switch each antenna depending of the skip and the country I want to contact.
However I usually use the ground plane on lower bands because I have less noise.
15/07 : The rain season began
Conditions actually are very bad on my qth on higher bands and heavy qrn on 40meters, particulary on 30meters with high statics,

On September 18th, 1810, Chile broke from Spanish rule, declaring their independence (although they still were theoretically loyal to King Ferdinand VII of Spain, then a captive of the French). This declaration eventually led to over a decade of violence and warring which did not end until the last royalist stronghold fell in 1826. SE2T is a vanity/contest call attached to my underlying SM2YIZ call. (I never use the long YIZ anymore.). My primary interests are in contesting, dx-ing and collecting RDA and some other country awards. The ham story started in 1966 or was it 1967 with the call OH6YA (which I still have), but after 1971 I was QRT for some 33 years. After working hard for many years I decided to take up ham radio again and to try cut down on work. And yes, it appears the plan works OK most of the time.

I run a Yaesu FT2000 + ACOM1000 setup + inv L on 160, T-vertical on 80, 4 square on 40, 4 el monoband yagis on 20-15. Some 10 and 6 m antennas will be added sooner or later. I also work in the Multi op contest team from the SJ2W super station (www.sj2w.se) with its evergrowing antenna park.
