Welcome to my QRZ.COM

A two big typhoons approaches Japan now.

Therefore a ship Ogasawara Maru cannot sail from the port.
I change a schedule.

I will go to Ogasawara in 28 Oct. ~ 3 Nov. 2013.

New Call :JD1BOI QSL via JI1LET DIRECT ONLY.

Ogasawara Islands was named as a World Natural Heritage site by the UNESCO in 2011. It is an oceanic island which has never belonged to the continent. The plants and animals of the island have therefore enjoyed an evolution unique to the island's environment.
The Ogasawara Maru is a 6700-ton, 131-meter (430-foot) cargo-and-passenger ship sailing between Tokyo and Chichijima ("Father Island") in the Ogasawara archipelago, a journey of about 1000 kilometers (621 miles). Because the trip is over open water, the ship may indeed sway a bit from time to time. But be assured that the ship was designed specifically for this route; it is driven by two high-output engines and is equipped with a fin stabilizer that greatly reduces rolling (side-to-side sway).
Travel time for the approximately 1000-kilometer (621-mile) journey is about 25½ hours. The trip may take longer, however, if ocean conditions are poor.

Online QSL requests

This is our preferred method for both direct and bureau QSLs (as nice as your cards no doubt are we don’t really need them!). The online QSL request below will provide a free bureau card, or for a small charge a direct QSL card. Please note that you can only request QSLs for contacts that are confirmed as being in the log - we plan for logs to be submitted daily from the SES, but there may be the occasional delay. So if you are not in the log check again later.
Select the callsign you worked:

Callsign input box will appear in the space below.

Bureau and Direct QSLs

Our preference for Bureau and Direct QSLs is not to receive QSL cards, but instead for requests to be submitted using the Club Log Online QSL Request above (with PayPal donation to cover postage costs for the direct cards). SWL and exceptionally direct QSL cards, along with a donation of £2, $3 or €3 to cover postage costs—no IRCs after November 2013 please, may be mailed to:

V31RL will be active during the last three weeks of October 2013.  V31RL was active during three weeks in January and February 2013. All QSL card requests are via AD7AF, home call. Domestic USA requests should include a S.A.S.E.  International requests should include a self-addressed envelope plus Green Stamps or U.S. postage.  The U.S. Post Office will no longer process IRCs after December 2013.  Bureau card replies will be via the bureau in batches every few months.
The V31RL log for January - February is already on LotW and Club Log.  While V31RL is QRV in October, I will try to upload the log to Club Log on a daily basis.  The October log will be loaded onto LotW after the DXpedition.  I will try to be active during more JA and EU openings than last January and February.
