I became a ham in 1967 in Pabianice as SP7CIK. My first contact was on 2m AM and CW. Since that time, I have confirmed 113 grid squares and 28 entities on 2m.

Between 1971 and 1975, I was working in Warsaw as SP5CIK.

I moved to Opole in 1975 and then to Chmielowice.

Since 1994, I have focused more on DX and I now have 339/345 entities awarded by the DXCC. Since 2005 I have been the DXCC Card Checker.

My greatest interest now is the DXCC Challenge.

My equipment:

Transceivers: K3 and IC-746 PRO

Antenna system:
· 160m – inverted L with 64 buried radials
· 80m – 4 square with 24 buried radials on each vertical. Designed and built by Frank DL6EBH. Working very well!
· 40m and 30 m – 2 element yagi by SP7GXP
· 10-20m – 7 element by SP7GXP
· 6m – 7 element yagi by SP3GEM
From the 18th March to the 21st June 2014, activity is planned from the British Virgin Islands under the clallsign VP2V/SP6CIK.
It is best to use OQRS via Club Log for QSL
QSL via the QSL bureau and LoTW for the near future.

In 23rd March of this year, we will once again celebrate World Meteorological Day to commemorate the coming into force on 23 March 1950 of the Convention establishing WMO. As you will recall, the WMO Executive Council decided that the theme for 2014 will be (Weather and climate: Engaging youth).
Our 2014 theme recognizes that the youth of today will benefit enormously from the dramatic advances being made in our ability to understand and forecast the Earth's weather and climate.  It also acknowledges growing concerns about human-induced climate change.  Most of today's children and youth will see the second half of this century, when many of the serious impacts predicted by the WMO/UNEP Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change are expected to occur.  It is vital that the WMO community engage children and youth in both understanding and responding to global warming.
