Will be QRV as VP2V/KE2VB on Tortola from February 27, 2013 to March 4, 2013. I will be a All Band Low Power entry in the ARRL DX SSB test. Will be on CW as well as SSB before and after the test. Hope to have antennas for 10-160.
VP2V/KE2VB QSL's go to my QSL manager NR6M.

My Station in Tucson. The loyal "radio poodle", Casey, keeps me company during all contests!

I was first licensed in 1962 as WN2NDO. I passed my General in 1963 and became WB2NDO. College and then family intruded and I gave up hamming until 1983 when the ham radio bug bit again. I became KE2VB in 1983 and upgraded to Extra in 1984.

Contesting, both SSB and CW, is my primary amateur radio activity.
I have been contesting from the Caribbean since 1994. My contesting station on St. Croix, WP2Z, was a major contesting venue from 1995 to 2005. The call is still used occasionally by previous WP2Z operators and trustees. QSL WP2Z via KU9C.
I retired in 2005 and moved to Tucson AZ. I'm a proud member of the Arizona Outlaws Contesting Club.

Since first licensed in 1977 as WB2MAE, David has always found amateur radio an effective "diversion" from the pressures of life. The trip from Novice to Advanced took place over a 12 month period, finally upgrading to Extra in 1983 as a diversion from school work while attending The Ohio State University.
David was next licensed as NW2D. At that time, he was interested in contesting and computing, spending a good deal of time at N2AA (K2GL QTH) working on antennas. A duping program was soon written and run during the 1987 CQWW. Raw scores had ALWAYS been shared on 3830 after the contest. That year, the score was reported clean. Within a matter of 3 minutes after the close of the contest. Another software success was the Jersey City Keyer. Written for both beginner and seasoned contester, this PC based program did it all!  MFJ bought it - and killed it.
When the vanity pool opened up, David decided to take a call that was reminiscent of the big contesting days: NA2AA
Contesting is the part of ham radio that David loves the most.  Radiosport!  From modest efforts at his home station, to operating some of the BIG contest stations such as N2AA(K2GL) and N2RM where winning the US was fairly commonplace.  VHF contesting was great - for a while - with the crew at K2BAR.  David's real fun has come operating in the Carribbean at stations V26B and PJ4X (PJ4G), where David is now a member (see www.pj4g.com)
See you on the air!
