Apply for a new Vanity callsign...

I have been licensed in Peru since 1967. My former Peruvian callsigns include OA6BU and OA4AAN. My present call, OA4SS, was issued to me in 1973. I have been licensed in the USA since 1953. My present USA callsign is W9SI. Formerly I was WN8MWY, W8MWY and then W9IBT.
I have uploaded all of my log information for the years 1994 through 2012 to the ARRL "Log Book of The World" (LoTW).
If you desire confirmation via a QSL card, send an SASE (USA) or an IRC to my manager, KB6J. Al has been my manager for more than thirty years! Thanks to his help, all of my logs from 1994 to the present can also be found on e-qsl.
I am active on HF including the WARC bands, both on SSB and CW. My equipment includes a Kenwood TS/140 and a Drake L-4B linear. My antennas are a TH7-DXX and inverted "V" dipoles for the 75-80, 40, 30, 17 and 12 meter bands. Sorry, but I am not able to work on 160 meters due to low power and no antenna.
In Perú, the amateur service may only use the lower half of the 75-80 meter band. Due to a regional agreement with several other countries, we can only operate between 3.500 MHz and 3.750 MHz. Up until the changes in the US frequency allocations went into effect, we always had to work stateside SSB stations on split frequencies. This may explain why it has been hard for you to get an SSB confirmation from "OA" on that band.
I hope to work you on the HF bands or on EchoLink. I usually run a sked on EchoLink on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 1845 GMT
73's. Ed OA4SS
